Terry started Advantage Marketing Solutions with the vision to be a leading high value marketing and advertising company that supports businesses with their need to market. His knowledge, experience, and previous achievements are just some of Advantage Marketing Solutions assets. He is applying everything he has learned to Advantage Marketing Solutions, and continues to seek new opportunities for marketing and business solutions for all clients.
Prior to founding Advantage Marketing Solutions in 2005, Terry was Vice President of CUCorp, a subsidiary of the Michigan Credit Union League. He began his career at CUCorp in 1985, and over the course of his tenure with the company he transformed what was a very small department into Images & Ink, one of the nation’s largest marketing service organizations that focused mainly on financial marketing. This award-winning entity within the company provided first class advertising, marketing, consulting, and business partnerships to many organizations across the country.

Katherine Van Eck
Vice President Operations & Sales
Kathy is the Vice President of our Operations & Sales. She provides top quality customer service and support to our clients. She has a wide array of Credit Union knowledge and is our “go-to” person for any forms or compliance-related questions. Kathy coordinates marketing programs and is essential in overseeing the timely delivery, with no quality compromise, of your products. She is continually working to meet our clients’ every needs, while some go as far as to say that she is the glue that keeps us together.
She graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in business administration and is a CUNA-certified Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE). She has more than 12 years experience working in customer service and as a Credit Union Compliance Coordinator. Her varied and extensive background includes managing the workflow process for a large printing and marketing company, customer service and support, and accounting.
Kathy enjoys spending time with her family and is involved in community programs and the Boy Scouts of America. She is also a traveler, having lived in Brazil for a year. She has a working knowledge of both Spanish and Portuguese.
Project Director and Sales
As the Project Director at Advantage Marketing Solutions, Rich leads our special project marketing. He develops marketing concepts and campaigns, works closely with clients, and is an integral part of the graphics and copy writing departments. He also handles internal sales and our community marketing efforts. Rich graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelors degree in marketing and advertising.
Website and Print Design
Diane is a Website and Print Designer. She graduated from Northwood University and has a BA in Business Administration with a Marketing major. Diane has a strong corporate background with more than a decade in the automotive industry, before becoming a consultant to automotive advertising agencies in their design and creative departments.
Graphic Designer & Marketing Assistant
Shannon is a strategic, multidisciplinary designer & marketing expert with an eye for innovative, creative ideas for both digital and conventional marketing. She is a graduate of Wayne State University with a BFA in Graphic Design. Shannon is very personable and enjoys working directly with clients. She has a vast skill set with extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, the leader in professional creative software tools. Shannon also has a strong background in design, branding, content creation and print collateral from custom invitations to complete custom branded marketing campaigns. Other experience includes vehicle graphics, signs, posters and trade show items. She works hard to combine her knowledge and experience in these areas, to deliver the best creative and marketing services to Advantage Marketing’s clients and their audiences.
Her hobbies include softball, golf, and ice carving. She loves being outdoors and spending time with her family.
Business Development & Marketing Assistant
Heather joined the Advantage Marketing Solutions team in 2017. She has a strong business background in the retail and food industry. During her retail experience, she helped launch a new department called ClickList, which is an online food ordering program. Heather graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education. She also recently gained her Master’s in Business Administration from Walsh College, in summer of 2017.
Heather loves working in the marketing field and helping businesses grow. She is known for being a fast learner and has the ability to take on new tasks. In her free time, she likes to spend time with family and friends. Her hobbies include Zumba and physical activity, as she has already ran two Disney ½ Marathons!
